Olomouc has a festival on at the moment. Perhaps I should start doing a little more travel writing and tell you about it. Basically yesterday, today and tomorrow they turn some lights on in front of some buildings. Standing from my vantage point outside a McDonald’s, I can see a packed town square, some colourful illuminations, and not much else. Someone is speaking into a microphone, and then they play some terrible music. I’m not sure what all the fuss is about over three days, but the lights look pretty. It is a very beautiful town, although I’m seeing most of it at night.
